SEX AND THE CITY 2 WITH MY LADIES

Wednesday night me and 17 of my girlfriends got dolled up for sushi,drinks and Sex and The City 2! I wore a fabulous one shoulder coral dress and Nude Christian Louboutin's, I was channeling the ultra fabulous Carrie Bradshaw. We had a fabulous time talking about fashion, men, sex, marriage, kids and of course we had to have COSMOs (it's Sex and The City, it wouldn't be right if we didn't). I love to have girl talk and wish that I was able to have more times like this, but life it so busy. But when I do get these moments I absolutely cherish them! We arrived to the movie theater about an hour before showtime, to kill time and keep ourselves entertained we decided to play SEX AND THE CITY TRIVIA, with others in the audience, fun times.
I don't really want to discuss the movie, because I know there are some of you who still have not saw it yet, and I don't want to spoil it for you. One thing I did like about the movie was 1 of the overall messages that, every marriage is different and within your own you have to do what works best for you and your spouse. I am such a strong believer in love, and I think so many (especially young) people do not give love a chance. They are either bitter/tainted/ heartbroken from a previous relationship,, and think that all men/women are dogs/b*tches or they are on the other end of the spectrum and believe that relationships are perfect all the time. Neither is true. Every relationship is different,you can have a great relationshsip, you just have to realize that it does take work. I truly believe that once two people are emotionally mature enough to dedicate themselves to one another, that they will get in what they put in, in relationship, but both parties have to be willing!In our group of 17 women ranging from ages 22 to 25, 7 of us were mothers, 3 of us were wives,and most of us either already have college degree's or working towards them and or full time jobs.It was so great to have an amazing night surrounded by such educated and focused women. I had a great time!

I'm Addicted to SEX!...Sex And The City , that is

Today is the day! I wish I could just blink my eyes and it would be time to get ready for tonight's festivities! Just like when part one came out in 2008, my ladies and I will dressed up tonight, go for dinner and drinks and then the 1201am showing! I'm so excited to dress up SEX AND THE CITY STYLE! Some people are asking , "Is Sex and the City 2,that serious?" I gasp whenever I hear this, but those poor souls don't know any better,lol! SATC2 is more then just a movie, these characters are "people" that we (the fans) have grown to know and love over the last 12 years. We were with them thru countless boyfriends, marriages, babies, cancer,jobs, divorces, and etc., so it is like Carrie,Samantha,Charlotte and Miranda are our extended BFF's!
My hope for SATC2 is that it gives us a little more humor! The first SATC movie was very sad. We had Steve cheating on Miranda, Samantha and Smith breaking up, Charlotte being afraid that she might lose her baby, Jennifer Hudson's acting (lol had to throw that in there,she was bad) and of course BIG standing Carrie up at the alter! This time around I want to laugh more, cry less! I've been thinking of my favorite SATC moment ever ,and I finally know what it is! It's the very last episode, when BIG goes to Paris to get Carrie , and he says to her "It's always been you Kid" and Carrie says "Take me home." I tear up just thinking about it.
I have always been TEAM BIG (even though it took me a while to forgive him for ,Natasha).BIG's and Carrie's relationshiphas has always reminded me of my own, many comparisons over the years. With Carrie's Ex-Fiance,Aidean making an appearance in SATC2, it has all of us TRUE SATC fans on edge , because we all know how ugly the CARRIE/BIG/AIDEAN love triangle got on the series! Ok that's enough, is it 12:01 yet, I'm ready for the movie!!!

SEX AND THE CITY 2 NYC RED CARPET PREMIERE

1 more day until my ladies and I go see SEX AND THE CITY 2!!! I am uber excited, I'm sure you can tell. I've been watching my DVD of all the seasons, getting myself amped up. It's a hard to believe that we met the fab four (Carrie,Samantha,Charlotte and Miranda) 12 years ago, I was only 12 *gasp*! I believe that SEX AND THE CITY has been somewhat of a learning tool for todays woman. What I have learned over the years from SEX AND THE CITY , is to be fearless and have a since of self. The series also taught me to cherish friendships,men can come and go, jobs can come and go, but finding dear friends is one of the greatest gifts that GOD gives us! I hope you all find time to meet up with your dearest friends and go see the movie!!
Last night in New York City, was the big premiere of SEX AND THE CITY 2! All of us "SEX"AHOLICS were treated to a live USTREAM ,directly from the Red Carpet. All the ladies showed up looking fabulous, of course, but none shined brighter then the alter ego of Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parker. She donned a one shoulder, asymmetrically neon yellow Valentino Couture gown,and the waves in her hair were absolutely perfect.

Co-Star Kristen Davis (Charlotte York) also wore neon, but in the hue of pink. I swear Kristen does not age.
Kim Catrall (Samantha Jones) wore a low cut yellow and gold gown, I did not love it, and I think it looked better on the USTREAM then in this picture. I was expecting a little more sexiness from "Ms.Jones", but she was still fab,nonetheless. Cynithia Nixon (Miranda Hobbs), black gown suited her personality, but I would have loved for her to give us some color,maybe a neon blue, her dress was too safe, a bit boring.
Besides the fab four ,my standout of the night was , The City's Whitney Port. She looked SUPERGOURGE in her black sweetheart mini dress, with a gathered hem line. The dress was very Carrie-esque. And of course where there is a fashion winner , there has to be a loser. Gabourey Sibide , where in the world is your style team?? Now before anyone jumps down my back, I am in NO way making fun of her, if Jennifer Lopez showed up in this horrendous ensemble, I would say the same thing!The hair, the make-up, that awful dress, and those shoe,those shoes, those shoes, what was she thinking? Honorable mention goes to Ashanti,something is a little off, maybe it's the hair, she just can never seem to get it right in the fashion department!

Who Wore It Best: ME VS. Khloe VS. Lauren...well kinda

I am an avid shopper! Like most women shopping brings me happiness and when I'm feeling a little down,retail therapy is always the best cure!I think I have become an expert on getting the look for less!So often, like many of the women I know and thanks to posting pictures online, I'll buy a dress and only wear it once, so I have made a vow to my self to not spend over $200.....no $300 on a dress that I know I am only going to wear once,unless it is for a special occasion , like New Years or Birthday,etc. Now, on items that I know I will get plenty of wear out of like jewelry,blazers,jeans,bags,shoes,shoes and shoes, I don't really put a price limit on,because I feel like I will get my moneys worth out of it. But I do believe ,that especially in this day in age, where financial stability is not always promised, it is important to make smart fashion buys!
2 summers ago I saw pictures of Khloe Kardashian and Lauren Conrad wearing the same D&G Overlay Bustier Dress ($645) and I loved it , but wasn't willing to shell out my car note on a one-time wear dress! After searching and searching I found an almost identical dress at shopnastygal.com for $78, what a steal!! I wore the dress a few weekends ago to Ray Lewis' birthday party in Baltimore. I absolutely love,love,love this dress, and now I am sad that I've even posted pics of it, *sigh*now I won't be able to wear it again :(
Of Course I have to ask, WHO WORE IT BEST! My personal opinion is that Khloe wore it better then Lauren, but I've got one up on Khlo,lol!

WHO WORE IT BEST? Kourtney VS Xiannie

I have loved both of the lines that Kourtney,Kim and Khloe Kardashian have done for BEBE! Have you all gotten any pieces from either collection? The collections have been very sexy, exactly what I would expect from the sexy siblings. Of course with it being their line, the Kardashian sisters have been spotted rocking their line as well as many people that I know and see out! One of the biggest trends for this spring/summer , just like last year is the Mesh look. Kourtney wore this Mesh Bodice Sleeveless Dress ($129 and SOLD OUT) from the KARDASHIAN|BEBE line to the opening of Beach Bunny Swimwear in L.A. in April.That same month, my friend Xiannie wore the same dress to a party we attended in Washington, DC. I'm excited that both of the ladies kept their hair simple, and pulled back showing of their equally gorgeous faces. Kourtney added a little edge to her dress by pairing it with a tribal horn necklace, while Xiannie opted out of wearing a necklace and instead went for long diamond hoop earrings. Loving This Look: Aztec/Tribal Clothing

One of my favorite looks of the season is Aztec/Tribal pieces. I wore this Aztec inspired dress on Cinco de Mayo, it is made by Motel , I have a few more pieces that are African and Tribal inspired that I can't wait to wear. I am pretty sure we will begin to see more and more people rocking this fabulous trend in the very near future once Alicia Keys' video (Feat. Beyonce') Put It In A Love Song premieres. The video was shot in Brazil and the outfits the 2 songbirds are wearing are from a line called BOXING KITTEN.
With the most anticipated movie of the year Sex And The City 2 (shot in Abu Dhabi) , opens in theaters next week, I can only imagine how many will flock to the trends that the FAB 4 will be wearing in the film. Tons of sequin, earth and jewel tones, reds, golds,greens,purples, turbans, sexy jeweled embellish dresses and harem pants. Spring has Sprung and summer is right around the corner!!

Hey SuperGourge People!!! I really have missed blogging, as I said in my last post things have been a little hectic, but things are all starting to work themselves out and I have a little more time on my hands! With that said, how excited are you guys about the fashion for Spring and Summer 2010? I love this time of the year and there are so many styles and trends that I am absolutely adoring right now! Often I get questions about my clothes, hair,and make up, so I wanted to start giving you all more details on them and as I wear things I will post pics and discuss.I will also post pics of some of my favorite items of the season. For example the necklace I have on the picture, I absolutely love it! I bought it last Spring(Forever 21 $22.80) and I absolutely love it! the colors are amazing and it dresses up a simple outfit, and for just over 20 bucks, you can't beat that! I am sure you guys will see me wear this necklace again (and again) I adore it!! I am kind of a big secret holder about my clothes, as a lot of us are, simply because no one wants to show up to an event looking like twins!! So if I don't share specific brands with you, I'm sorry! But I will give you as much details as possible! I also wanted to start spot lighting some of my fabulous friends and other fabulous people that I come in contact with on a daily basis.
