SEX AND THE CITY 2 WITH MY LADIES

Wednesday night me and 17 of my girlfriends got dolled up for sushi,drinks and Sex and The City 2! I wore a fabulous one shoulder coral dress and Nude Christian Louboutin's, I was channeling the ultra fabulous Carrie Bradshaw. We had a fabulous time talking about fashion, men, sex, marriage, kids and of course we had to have COSMOs (it's Sex and The City, it wouldn't be right if we didn't). I love to have girl talk and wish that I was able to have more times like this, but life it so busy. But when I do get these moments I absolutely cherish them! We arrived to the movie theater about an hour before showtime, to kill time and keep ourselves entertained we decided to play SEX AND THE CITY TRIVIA, with others in the audience, fun times.
I don't really want to discuss the movie, because I know there are some of you who still have not saw it yet, and I don't want to spoil it for you. One thing I did like about the movie was 1 of the overall messages that, every marriage is different and within your own you have to do what works best for you and your spouse. I am such a strong believer in love, and I think so many (especially young) people do not give love a chance. They are either bitter/tainted/ heartbroken from a previous relationship,, and think that all men/women are dogs/b*tches or they are on the other end of the spectrum and believe that relationships are perfect all the time. Neither is true. Every relationship is different,you can have a great relationshsip, you just have to realize that it does take work. I truly believe that once two people are emotionally mature enough to dedicate themselves to one another, that they will get in what they put in, in relationship, but both parties have to be willing!In our group of 17 women ranging from ages 22 to 25, 7 of us were mothers, 3 of us were wives,and most of us either already have college degree's or working towards them and or full time jobs.It was so great to have an amazing night surrounded by such educated and focused women. I had a great time!

I'm Addicted to SEX!...Sex And The City , that is

Today is the day! I wish I could just blink my eyes and it would be time to get ready for tonight's festivities! Just like when part one came out in 2008, my ladies and I will dressed up tonight, go for dinner and drinks and then the 1201am showing! I'm so excited to dress up SEX AND THE CITY STYLE! Some people are asking , "Is Sex and the City 2,that serious?" I gasp whenever I hear this, but those poor souls don't know any better,lol! SATC2 is more then just a movie, these characters are "people" that we (the fans) have grown to know and love over the last 12 years. We were with them thru countless boyfriends, marriages, babies, cancer,jobs, divorces, and etc., so it is like Carrie,Samantha,Charlotte and Miranda are our extended BFF's!
My hope for SATC2 is that it gives us a little more humor! The first SATC movie was very sad. We had Steve cheating on Miranda, Samantha and Smith breaking up, Charlotte being afraid that she might lose her baby, Jennifer Hudson's acting (lol had to throw that in there,she was bad) and of course BIG standing Carrie up at the alter! This time around I want to laugh more, cry less! I've been thinking of my favorite SATC moment ever ,and I finally know what it is! It's the very last episode, when BIG goes to Paris to get Carrie , and he says to her "It's always been you Kid" and Carrie says "Take me home." I tear up just thinking about it.
I have always been TEAM BIG (even though it took me a while to forgive him for ,Natasha).BIG's and Carrie's relationshiphas has always reminded me of my own, many comparisons over the years. With Carrie's Ex-Fiance,Aidean making an appearance in SATC2, it has all of us TRUE SATC fans on edge , because we all know how ugly the CARRIE/BIG/AIDEAN love triangle got on the series! Ok that's enough, is it 12:01 yet, I'm ready for the movie!!!

Loving This Look: Aztec/Tribal Clothing

One of my favorite looks of the season is Aztec/Tribal pieces. I wore this Aztec inspired dress on Cinco de Mayo, it is made by Motel , I have a few more pieces that are African and Tribal inspired that I can't wait to wear. I am pretty sure we will begin to see more and more people rocking this fabulous trend in the very near future once Alicia Keys' video (Feat. Beyonce') Put It In A Love Song premieres. The video was shot in Brazil and the outfits the 2 songbirds are wearing are from a line called BOXING KITTEN.
With the most anticipated movie of the year Sex And The City 2 (shot in Abu Dhabi) , opens in theaters next week, I can only imagine how many will flock to the trends that the FAB 4 will be wearing in the film. Tons of sequin, earth and jewel tones, reds, golds,greens,purples, turbans, sexy jeweled embellish dresses and harem pants.
