BET HONORS

On Saturday my husband and I attended The BET honors. Our seats were great and the show was good. Unfortunately , we couldn't take any pictures during the show :(. This was my 1st award show, so I was a little amazed at how things go down in the background during taping!




This years honorees were Supermodel and humanitarian Iman, Historian Lonnie G. Bunch III,Musician Herbie Hancock, Entertainer Jamiee Foxx, Media Mogul Linda Johnson-Rice and legendary actress Cicely Tyson. It was all hosted by Gabriella Union , who had 10 wardrobe changes! Love it!

*HIGHLIGHTS*

When Iman walked in, I literally teared up, she is beyond SUPERGORGE, I may have to make up a new word for her.



NE-YO performed a medley of classic hits. Neyo is my favorite male singer, I had never saw him perform live, so this was a treat.



Marsha Ambrosius did a tribute to Teena Marie and she sound AMAZING!



Keyshia Cole performed, hmmmmmmmmm, didn't love it.



My husband was pleasantly surprised that Lalah Hathaway performed, he used to wear one of her CDs out!




Tank, who writes and produces for Jamiee Foxx performed, followed by GUY, who had everyone out of there seats!




Yolonda Adams performed as a tribute to Cicely Tyson.



Trey Songz closed the night out with WE CAN'T BE FRIENDS and my all time favorite song, LET'S STAY TOGETHER!

I did my 1st celebrity interview on Dawn from Dirty Money. I was a little nervous at first,because I haven't done any type of interviewing since I graduated from Broadcasting school 5 year ago. But Dawn made the interviewing process super easy and fun. She, along with her parents are truly some of the sweetest people I have ever met. As I continue to do more and more interviews, I will get more comfortable and better at it.Practice makes perfect!

A huge thank you, to everyone that visits my blog site, I truly appreciate you all! When I decided to start blogging , I knew I wanted my blog to be something that would allow my past education in theater, broadcast journalism, make and fashion to all come together. Yesterday I had a photo shoot with Roy Cox for the site, he was amazing as always. This was my 1st photo shoot in almost 3 years, so I was a little nervous at 1st, but quickly felt at home in front of the camera. A huge , huge, HUGE shout out to my husband who came to support during the shoot, that made me very happy. Also a million thanks to my great glam squad and friends Erin and Danielle, you girls are truly the best!!! I can't wait to see the finished product!!

MY LOUBOUTIN MANICURE
I'd saw the "Louboutin Manicure" online a few times, and decided I wanted to it for my photoshoot. So that morning I went to my nail tech Tracy and she did it for me. I loved it! I may have loved it more if my nails were longer, the look would have been more effective, but I didnt want to put false nails on. None the less I liked it!

Loving This Look: Aztec/Tribal Clothing

One of my favorite looks of the season is Aztec/Tribal pieces. I wore this Aztec inspired dress on Cinco de Mayo, it is made by Motel , I have a few more pieces that are African and Tribal inspired that I can't wait to wear. I am pretty sure we will begin to see more and more people rocking this fabulous trend in the very near future once Alicia Keys' video (Feat. Beyonce') Put It In A Love Song premieres. The video was shot in Brazil and the outfits the 2 songbirds are wearing are from a line called BOXING KITTEN.
With the most anticipated movie of the year Sex And The City 2 (shot in Abu Dhabi) , opens in theaters next week, I can only imagine how many will flock to the trends that the FAB 4 will be wearing in the film. Tons of sequin, earth and jewel tones, reds, golds,greens,purples, turbans, sexy jeweled embellish dresses and harem pants. Spring has Sprung and summer is right around the corner!!

Hey SuperGourge People!!! I really have missed blogging, as I said in my last post things have been a little hectic, but things are all starting to work themselves out and I have a little more time on my hands! With that said, how excited are you guys about the fashion for Spring and Summer 2010? I love this time of the year and there are so many styles and trends that I am absolutely adoring right now! Often I get questions about my clothes, hair,and make up, so I wanted to start giving you all more details on them and as I wear things I will post pics and discuss.I will also post pics of some of my favorite items of the season. For example the necklace I have on the picture, I absolutely love it! I bought it last Spring(Forever 21 $22.80) and I absolutely love it! the colors are amazing and it dresses up a simple outfit, and for just over 20 bucks, you can't beat that! I am sure you guys will see me wear this necklace again (and again) I adore it!! I am kind of a big secret holder about my clothes, as a lot of us are, simply because no one wants to show up to an event looking like twins!! So if I don't share specific brands with you, I'm sorry! But I will give you as much details as possible! I also wanted to start spot lighting some of my fabulous friends and other fabulous people that I come in contact with on a daily basis. Who Wore it Best: Me vs Paris

I love when I look in magazines and see celebs who wore they same dress in the WHO WORE IT BEST section! I often disagree with who the magazine picks as the winner! A lot of time I will see celebs in something that I have worn before or have in my closet so from now on I will post those on here too and if I see anyone of you and a celeb that has on the same outfit, I will post those too. My first who wore it best is ME VS. PARIS HILTON. I wore this one arm embellished shoulder dress with sequin to bring in 2010! I absolutely loved this dress! Paris wore it last week on Letterman! I think I wore best, but that's just my opinion! What do you guys think?
